The Commonwealth Sport Foundation (CSF) is seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager. The Foundation is the charitable arm of Commonwealth Sport that mobilises resources and raises funds to further Commonwealth Sport beyond the Commonwealth Games.

This important new role will develop and implement strategies, focusing on securing support and investment from donors, trusts, foundations, and other stakeholders for key initiatives. These include high-profile projects linked to disability inclusion, diversity, sustainability, youth and Games legacy.

The role will also play the lead in fully integrating and activating the Foundation as the official charity partner of the Glasgow 2026 Games, raising significant donations from Games fans and spectators. In our search for the right candidate and approach, we are open to discussing contracting arrangements on a full-time, part-time or consultancy basis. Employment terms will be in accordance with UK employment law, and consultants will be engaged under an appropriate contract for services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute CSF Fundraising Strategy, prioritising foundations, trusts, and Games legacy giving
  • Write compelling funding proposals for CSF priority initiatives
  • Develop and implement Global Ambassadors Strategy
  • Maximise CSF's status as Official Charity Partner of Glasgow 2026
  • Manage donor data and reporting systems
  • Provide exceptional stewardship of funders and donors
  • Stay current with global fundraising landscape
  • Advise CGF and CSF Trustees on best practices

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 5+ years proven fundraising experience in sport or charities
  • Track record in diverse fundraising activities, especially major donor giving and trusts
  • Strong relationship skills and cultural sensitivity
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Commonwealth Sport's strategic focus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft environment and relationship management tools
