The Kingdom of eSwatini (formerly known as Swaziland) is a small landlocked country in the east of Southern Africa, bounded to the east of Moazmbique and elsewhere by South Africa. It joined the Commonwealth in 1968 and made its debut in the 1970 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, attending each edition of the Games since.

eSwatini's first medal came at the 1974 Games in Christchurch when Richard Mabuza picked up a bronze for his time of 2hrs 12 mins 54.4 secs in the men's marathon. At the Games in Melbourne in 2006 Simanga Shiba took home a boxing bronze medal in the men's light flyweight competition. Although Delhi in 2010 did not yield any medals a strong team competed in five sports.

The Swaziland National Olympic Committee was established in 1974 and is responsible for their country's participation at the Commonwealth Games and in the Commonwealth Youth Games.
