Anguilla attended its first Games in 1998 in Kuala Lumpur competing in the athletics before taking part in Manchester 2002, Melbourne 2006 and Delhi 2010 in athletics and cycling.

A delegation of 5 athletes in track and field took part in Manchester and the team was led by famous cricketer, Cardigan Conner.

Anguilla is a British overseas territory in the Caribbean, one of the most northerly of the Leeward Islands in the Lesser Antilles. It consists of the main island of Anguilla itself, approximately 26km (16 miles) long by 5km (3 miles) wide at its widest point, together with a number of much smaller islands and cays with no permanent population. The island's capital is The Valley.

The Anguilla Commonwealth Games Association is responsible for their participation in the Commonwealth Games and the Commonwealth Youth Games.
