Working closely with the President and the Executive Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) oversees the CGF, and its relationship with its global stakeholders, including 74 Commonwealth Games Associations, International Federations, current and future Host Organising Committees, Games Partners and Commonwealth institutions.
The CEO also has specific roles within the group corporate structure, of which the CGF is the lead entity. The Key areas of accountability for the CEO Office are in Leadership, Financial and Commercial Performance, Building and Managing a Team, Games Delivery, Governance, Nurturing Strong Relationships.
In addition, the CEO is responsible for provide inspirational leadership of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), creating a clear vision of excellence and direction that ensures the development and effective delivery of strategic and operational plans consistent with the CGF mission, values, strategic objectives and the CGF constitution and policies.
The PA to the CEO and PA to the President work closely together to manage and align the diaries and activities of their respective managers. Both PA’s also support the rest of the CGF with office administration, travel planning and event management.
At present, the team comprises three staff: the CEO and two personal assistants. The CEO’s Direct reports are Directors of Partnerships and Strategy ,Games and Assurance, Governance and Corporate Affairs, Sport, Development and CGA relationships, Marketing and Communications.
